Ann & Anthon are not one’s typical groom and bride, their wedding theme was not the traditional one rather pushed with what they really wanted and what would completely reflect the two of them so thus the Mod inspired wedding theme! The couple were blessed to have friends who were hands on and as creative as the two of them.

Ann still opted for a classic timeless look for her bridal make up which I loved. Of course we had airbrush make up for the bride. Airbrush make up is perfect for events like weddings since it stays and lasts longer. Lashes are a crucial part of one’s bridal make up so I made sure I have this favorite style of lashes for my bride.

Ann & Leah (her wedding planner, best friend & maid of honor) are both my ate’s barkada back in highschool and doing Ann’s bridal make up was so much fun it made me want them as my own barkada back then too, maybe highschool would’ve been so much fun around them girls! Again congratulations to Mr & Mrs Corre and your wedding was definitely one of those that stood out on me. Your creativity and personality had obviously been showcased in your wedding.

Airbrush Make Up by Toni Rodriguez, Hair by Aries Manal, Entourage Make Up by Marvic Globasa

If there’s something I really get easily pissed off – its being late. I hate being late that’s why I make sure that my team is always on time and so am I. For Karyl’s wedding in Bayleaf Intramuros, I left Eastwood area 2hours prior to call time – yes 2hours! And the 2hours drive felt like I was going home to Tarlac instead of driving to manila area. Traffic traffic and so much traffic plus an unannounced event in Roxas area that time by the current Mayor made vehicle’s unable to move. I was panicking and kept calling Aries who was luckily already in the area so I advised him to start setting the bride’s hair.

I was literally pinching Marvic who was with me inside the car when I decided to get down from the car and take a pedicab – since those were the only ones able to move. This wedding is really unforgettable for me since it was the first time ever I had to walk so far and get a pedicab to reach the venue. I have boxes and boxes of lighted make up cases which Marvz and I weren’t able to carry so I had to edit stuffs at the moment and put some basic stuffs in a small kit just so I can reach the hotel asap and advised my driver to follow right away and bring down the stuffs once he is in the area. This is what I posted on my instagram that day while I was inside the pedicab:

To make matters worse I wasn’t carrying any change, all I had at that time was 500 bucks and the pedicab driver told me that he couldn’t go inside intramuros because they have a policy there. Out of desperation I insisted giving him the whole 500 bucks if he can take me inside intramuros! Upon arrival at the hotel, my bride’s hair was already set by Aries and I was already feeling really bad.

I wasted no time and started doing Karyl’s make up and luckily after a few minutes my driver with the rest of my make up stuffs arrived. I’m really blessed to have a bride who was so understanding and not blaming anything to me and with that I made sure to give Karyl a bridal make up that she will appreciate even after 10, 20 years from now. All throughout the make up preps Karyl was all smiles and was truly soft spoken. This bride is really an angel!

Karyl  has lovely morena skin and I used colors that wouldn’t pop too much but rather enhance her skin tone even more and make her look like a blushing bride but effortlessly natural.

I know there’s no excuse to being late but I realized that there are really things beyond my control, 2hours ahead of call time didn’t made me on time because of some unexpected factors. At the end of the day I know I tried my very best to do everything within my control and again, I’am blessed that it was Karyl who was my bride at that day. She was stress free, nice and most of all understanding and to return the favor I made sure she looked her best during her wedding day. Yes this wedding was really unforgettable and its not because I had to take a pedicab to reach the hotel but rather its simply because that it was Karyl Rose who was my bride at that time.
